Redefining Technology

Saturday, May 23, 2020

40% of Gen Z say that they would rather have a working internet connection than a working bathroom. Millennials spend 85%of their day on their mobile devices.

What defines you as Gen Z vs a Millennial?

You are a millennial if you were born between 1981-1996. You are Gen Z if you were born after 1996. What’s important, is to understand how to break free from the rat race by learning how to control and not be controlled by technology.

There are 24 hours in a day. About 8 hours of those go on sleep and 8 hours on your job. You’re left with 8 hours to do as you please. Warren Buffet(one of the richest men in the world) once said, “Money can buy you almost anything but, it can’t buy you time.” So, what do you choose to do with your time?

Your job starts at 9 am and ends at 5 pm. You awake every morning at 7 am, 2hrs before work. You go to sleep at 11 pm to ensure that, you’ll have enough energy for the next day. That means you’re left with 6hrs in your day. Those are the hours that make a difference. Spend them on bettering yourself and your loved ones. Take on some gigs that can help you progress as an innovator, PICKL to make some extra cash while learning about new brands, improve that skill that you always wanted to pursue, and spend more time with your family.

Breaking free from the rat race is risky, time-consuming, and can be pressuring for most but, as long as you don’t waste your time by letting technology overpower your minds, you will be able to unlock endless opportunities by taking control of it. Therefore, escaping the rat race.
